Rolls Royce Builds Engine Model from Legos

Got 152,455 extra Legos lying around the house? Build a jet engine!

That’s what airplane engine maker Rolls-Royce decided to do recently. And our guess is they didn’t spend a minute in a wind tunnel or doing CFD Analysis. At the Farnborough International Airshow, held in mid-July, they unveiled a half-scale Lego model of their Trent 1000. It weighs 675 pounds and has a fan diameter of nearly five feet.
