Problem: When I have only text and geometries in my plot and I try to write an ASCII data file Tecplot crashes.
Solution: This is a bug that occurs because the dialog checks to see if the data is cell-centered but finds there is no data. Here is a workaround you can use until a fixed build is released. 1. Go to Data Create zone 1D line.2. Change the number of points to 1 and click the Create button. 3. The default value of the new point are not similar to your geometry locations so the original geometries and text disappear. Change the plot type (upper left corner) back to Sketch.4. When you write the datafile under Details to Save toggle off Field Data. Save the file.
