Problem: On a Mac, the image width option in the “Export” dialog cannot be selected. How do I fix this?
Solution: The Mac X server does not support GLX off-screen rendering. When running Tecplot on a Mac using OpenGL, you can export images using only on-screen rendering, which means you have to accept the on-screen dimensions of the image. You can work around this by running Tecplot in the software OpenGL emulation mode. When launching Tecplot, you should see a “Preferences” dialog before the Tecplot window appears. If you do not, open a terminal and type the following command:
defaults delete com.tecplot.Tecplot
Then, hit return and try reopening Tecplot. When the “Preferences” window appears, check the “Use Software OpenGL Emulation” checkbox and then click “Launch Tecplot.”
