Problem: I just installed 360_2011 on my Ubuntu 11 machine. With earlier versions of Ubuntu I could turn off the Effects by going to System/Preferences/Appearance, but this does not work on Ubuntu 11. How to I turn off the Effects under Ubuntu 11?
Solution: In Ubuntu 11 the control for turning off the Effects is on the same page where you log in. It is a dropdown list at the bottom of the window in the center. Jut set this to Ubuntu Classic (no effects).
