Thumb Joint.
The results of a doctoral thesis studies involving the human thumb carpometacarpal joint. The thumb joint (composed of the trapezium and thumb metacarpal bones) was removed from a cadaveric specimen and inserted into a mechanical loading apparatus. The joint was displaced along 3 axes and twisted along 1 axis
