| Unsteady CFD Solutions – A Generalized Box-Plot for Analysis Join us as Dr. Scott Imlay, Director of Research and Development at Tecplot, Inc. discusses a paper he presented recently at the International Conference on CFD in Hawaii. In the paper – “Generalized Box-Plot for Analysis of Unsteady CFD Solutions,” Dr. Imlay points out how increased computer performance has made it possible to use Computational Fluid Dynamics to create a ‘virtual wind tunnel.’ The output of this process is a performance database of CFD meta-data. But this data alone isn’t enough to discover root causes of anomalies and then figure out design changes that would fix it. Dr. Imlay’s paper presents a new technique for getting those answers. | Thoughts about the Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit Listen in as Dr. Durrell Rittenberg discusses the 48th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit in Atlanta, GA. Tecplot has been involved with the AIAA for over a decade and, as always, we’re looking forward to a stellar list of presentations and exhibitors. More than 50 companies will be presenting their wares and services and the show is expecting over 1,300 visitors. Listen now. |

| Simulation Analytics and Data Management The dramatic growth in computer power has driven an increase in both the size and number of CAE simulations used in engineering and scientific analysis. The increase in number of simulation cases has revealed a gap in current post-processing analysis capabilities which were designed to analyze one simulation case at a time. Simulation analytics software fills this gap. Listen now. |

| Reservoir Engineering is More Complex Than Ever Listen in as Don Roberts and Raja Olimuthu of Tecplot, Inc. discuss some of the complexities reservoir engineers are managing. The same data deluge that’s affecting so many different industries is also hitting reservoir engineers. Those who have the software to manage it are able to integrate ever increasing amounts of data into their systems. They’re riding the data wave. We’ll discuss how Tecplot RS helps reservoir engineers visualize large amounts of information in highly specific ways, while making them much more efficient. Listen now. |
